We are about to install the beta of FB 8 and we wanted to check on the expected wiki upgrade process.

In particular, we are wanting to re-organize (consolidate) our various wikis and I'm wondering if we should do that before or after installing the 8 beta.

Thanks.

There's not much of an upgrade process. The biggest changes we've made are to the editor and the default template, neither of which affect content. Many of your wikis will be automatically upgraded to our new default template to allow you to take advantage of all its coolness, but you can always switch back to your previous template(s) if you don't like the new one.

We've also added some new plugins to help navigation and organization. In particular, some issues with attachments and moving pages between wikis were fixed, so it's best to wait. Basically, because the wiki upgrade itself is so simple, there's nothing to be gained by trying to "help" it out.

Were there any CSS changes along with the updates? I know we have "adjusted" the wiki quite a bit using the BugMonkey plugin. – cdeszaq Aug 27 2010 at 13:08

The FogBugz default template has been revamped almost completely. Most of the structural elements of the page (excluding those provided by the template) should still be there though. – db Aug 27 2010 at 14:50
