Will the wiki pages support namespaces with language property like media wiki - or anything that could mimic that - so as to allow to easily maintain translated pages / page structures ?

Will the wiki either by default or config allow SEO friendly URIs like myfb.com/page-name instead of myfb.com/default.asp?W18 or at least myfb.com/default.asp?W18-page-name ?

I am really rooting for FB8 to get us excited about the formerly neglected wiki feature again.

Not yet. The focus this round was to improve the editing and navigating experience. Pretty URLs was something we considered, but it didn't make the cut for 8. That may come back again. I don't recall any discussions about multi-language wikis, so I'd say that's less likely to happen.
