We have a need that we need all cases to flow through each status. How can we do this without users bybassing any status?

If you need a rigid workflow, FogBugz might not be the tool for you. FogBugz stays simple and usable by not having strict workflow controls, required fields, or role-based action permissions. This is clearly a trade-off. We're not saying that there's not a valid need for this kind of locked-down project planning and case tracking. Our customers find that by doing away with these traditional strictures, they get more information into the system, which makes the system itself more valuable. If doing away with these strictures is not an option for you, we'd rather counsel you against using FogBugz than have you perennially frustrated with a piece of software not designed to suit your needs. |

Have you looked at the Workflow plugin, Brenda? It may not do exactly what you need but hopefully it will get you closer. |
