We have just started using FogBugz, just in a simple sense to track bugs and feature requests in a central repository. I am planning to expand our use of FogBugz by creating milestones for each major/minor release of our application.

Each release has associated notes, e.g. which of our clients requires it urgently. In addition we need to track which release each client has installed, whether they are currently testing it, etc.

I would like to manage this using the FogBugz wiki, and I would like to be able to link from each case to the notes for that release (without having to add the link to each case individually). I would like instead to be able to click on the milestone in the case (either from the case list or from the individual case view) and go to the appropriate page in the wiki.

Is this possible?

Hmmm. While it's theoretically possible to do this via the wiki or via a plug-in, it doesn't seem like FogBugz is the best deployment management/CRM tool for the job. But on the other hand, I'm hard-pressed to name something else that can do what you're asking for.

See this question for how to turn the project and area names into links. You could do a similar thing with the milestone link, but I don't know how you would link a given milestone to a given wiki. Maybe you could put the wiki number in the milestone name? That would allow you to create a live link to that wiki, with only the milestone name.

e.g., Big Customer [W2345] (12/1/2010)

You could use JQuery to extract that wiki name and make the link go to that wiki page.
