I've read quite a few threads on the correct way to notify users but I haven't seen my scenario covered so let me know what you suggest.
We have a static login for our support staff to enter feature requests. All other cases / bugs / enhancements get entered by regular fogbugz users (developers, programmers, project managers). We need a way for our support staff to be notified when one of the feature requests they've entered is being done aka the case gets edited. They can't subscribe because we use our generic support email and the fogbugz emails get filtered. We tried the correspondent field for them to enter their direct email info but learned that the emails don't send, if I understand correctly it's because it's not an email address in Fogbugz.
Before I go through and set up virtual users for all of the support staff just for the sake of being notified when their feature request cases are edited, is there any way to make the correspondent field send emails for any email address and not just ones that are fb user emails?
