The time zone does not seem to be handled correctly when I edit a case. My settings for the time zone is "Use default" and the admin's time zone (myself) is: (GMT+11:00) Magadan, Solomon Is., New Caledonia.

When I open a case the time is correctly set to the current local time. But if I edit a case, the "Revised time" is way behind in the past. As you can see from the screen shot below, I create a case on June 30th at 9:59AM. Some time later I edited the case which then set the revised time to June 29th !

Did anyone experienced this problem ?

I have reproduced this bug and filed a case to have it fixed. Update: This is fixed and currently slated for release with FogBugz 8.0.

  • Site setting: GMT+11:00 and User setting: GMT+11:00
    • bug
  • Site setting: GMT+11:00 and User setting: Use Default
    • bug
  • Site setting: GMT-05:00 or Site setting: Server Time and User setting: any
    • correct times

Is it possible for you to try a workaround of setting your site timezone to US Eastern Time, and set all of your users' individual settings to GMT+11:00?

I tested the workaround and it works. Thank you. – rold2007 Jul 21 2010 at 0:25

I can confirm this. Judging by the time displayed, it seems that the timezone it really uses is New York time, which is where Fog Creek HQ is.
