When you edit a case (assign, resolve etc), the editing box is always at the top. When you are replying to something someone else has written, their comments are always at the bottom.

This means you have to either copy the text somewhere else or keep scrolling up and down between what they wrote and what I am typing.

Is it possible to request an option to allow editing to happen at the bottom of the case?

This is something we've been considering internally, so I've added a note to that case that links to this question.

A potential workaround for you might be to switch the order in which case events are sorted when you're viewing/editing a case. If you look under My Settings -> Options there is a "Case Sort" setting to change the order in which you will see case events. If you switch this to "Show newest edits first" you shouldn't need to scroll back and forth as much when replying.

Thanks for that, I think that is a good workaround for now. I actually looked there for something, but I was looking for an editing option so missed it. Thanks. – Jeremy Knowles Jun 7 2010 at 20:53

I second the feature request: Our product manager wants not to change the display option, but asked me how he could move the edit box to the bottom (to the newest entry).
