I use the excellent GitHub as source control in my company. We also use the excellent FogBugz on Demand. Are there any plans for source control integration with git?

GitHub already supports FogBugz directly. Please see this post for detailed instructions.

For non-GitHub git, we do not currently include hook scripts, but you can try this integration created by another FogBugz user: http://www.fogcreek.com/FogBugz/blog/post/Git-Integration.aspx

Wow - didn't know this! Helped a ton, thanks! – Isaac Waller Sep 8 2009 at 23:48

I'm sorry, but I don't see a clear answer to the original question. Does FogBugz On Demand include non-GitHub-hosted Git integration? Benjamin said yes. David said no. Is it possible to integrate the plugin David mentioned into FogBugz On Demand?

You can setup the repo in FogBugz as a generic to use the third-party hook scripts. If you need assistance, just send us an email: fogcreek.com/sendmail.html – adambox Jan 7 2011 at 16:23

I came here from http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/4402/ looking for an answer on how to easily make Git commit comments that would link up on our FogBugz-On-Demand cases like we used to do with our SVN commit messages, and I am sorely disappointed.

We are Drupal developers who use Git exclusively due to the fact that Drupal powers almost 5% of all websites on the internet and the Drupal project itself has chosen to standardize on Git as it's version control system, therefore we also use Git in our day-to-day workflows. The incomprehensibility of the above answers is leading us to question whether or not we should continue to pay $3000 a year for FogBugz-On-Demand if it won't even link commit messages to ticket numbers?

I really hope this isn't some "Kiln is better" ruse. It better not be.

Huh, it's silly that we don't have an easy non-GitHub git integration. Please contact us directly to see what we can do for you. And, no, we're not trying to get you to use Kiln. It's growing just fine on its own merits. :) – Rich Armstrong Nov 11 at 14:51
I completely agree with this comment, and am pretty shocked, that a 8.0 version of such a product just ignores the undisputed leader in the DVCS field (and probably runner-up among all SCSSs). While FB supports abandonwares like TFS. Until native support emerges I would expect at least more helpful article with workarounds and starting steps. As for Kiln, certainly it would be great to access its features on git repos. – pasa Mar 22 at 13:58

HI,

I am sorry to ask again, but I'm looking for my company to buy Fb and perhaps Kiln. But we moved to Git fore a lot of reason, and we would be really happy to have a good integration with Fb if we buy it. The thing is that I had one of Fogcreek sales manager on the phone who told me you were going to move on with this limitation. But I have seen no change since. Is it possible to have an update to know when you will support Git in Fb ?

Thank you
