I have created some custom fields with the Workflow plugin, but I can't seem to set the Description. How can I set it?

Like projects, this field is not customizable.

I have opened a case to consider this feature for a future release. Please up-vote this question to show your support for adding this feature.

I am currently a trial (eval) user of FogBugz and surprised by this response.

The first step I was doing was to give the trial account "real data" to work with and setting up projects & categories. Odd that we cannot edit the description field.

btw - this applies to the straight-up Admin dashboard, not necessarily through a workflow plugin.

I realize the posted inquiry is more than a year old but I'm wondering what is the logic for admins NOT being able to enter a Description for new Categories (sorry if I just haven't seen the place to do it)?

I added a new Category called Tweak which, for me, represents a visual tweaking of displayed output. It's neither a bug fix nor a feature request, just something visual that needs changed to appease the client's taste (e.g. color scheme, alignment issue, font size, etc).

Is it possible to directly edit the database so the description for my new category is not a useless blank space?

Thanks for your time and assistance.

I downloaded and attached the MSSQL db to see if I can manually edit the category's description but, alas, I do not see a Description field in the Category table. Since a category can have only 1 description (right?) I wouldn't expect a separate table for it. Even then, I don't see an obvious table name that would contain category descriptions.

If anyone knows where they secretly stashed the descriptions, please let me know and I'll manually edit them to suit our tastes. Muchas gracias.
