I'm getting the error message: "Your bug was NOT submitted. Please hit back and resubmit your bug.: 006~ASP 0175~Disallowed Path Characters~The '..' characters are not allowed in the Path parameter for the MapPath method." What should I do?

Error Message:

Your bug was NOT submitted. Please hit back and resubmit your bug.: 006~ASP 0175~Disallowed Path Characters~The '..' characters are not allowed in the Path parameter for the MapPath method.

Solution:

1. Open IIS Manager, right click and choose properties on your FogBugz virtual directory (or the website root if FogBugz is installed at the root.
2. Click the Home Directory or Virtual Directory tab and choose the 'Configuration' button on that tab.
3. Click the Options tab and make sure the "Enable parent paths" setting is enabled.

Note that the IISLockDown tool will uncheck this setting.  For FogBugz, this setting is required as a security feature.  All uploaded files to your FogBugz application are kept in a folder that is NOT accessible by browsing to the general website.  The files are only accessible by using the FogBugz application and therefore this setting needs to be enabled so FogBugz can reach those files which are kept in a parent directory to the FogBugz application.
