Is it possible to let community users user their Active Directory account to login.

If I add them, Fogbugz (7.1.13) picks up the Active Directory account and displays all the information but users can't user their Active Directory password to login.

We run our FogBugz almost entirely within our organization, and almost never would we have an external person added as a community user. Having the ability to quickly give a user "FogBugz Community" permissions using our normal user administration route would streamline things for us. – cdeszaq Mar 18 2010 at 13:32
Same for us; FB is only used internally and the more we can integrate with AD the better – Michael May 17 2010 at 4:24

The source code for FogBugz appears to be available in its installation directory, along with its compiler and build script. I was able to make LDAP work for community users by commenting a single line. Community users logged in via LDAP still have restricted rights, so I don't think it defeats the spirit of licensing.

I'll leave it up to a FogBugz employee to make the change or reveal the details, as I don't feel it's my place. There could be side effects or other implications of which I'm unaware.

This fix still works. The organization I work for is a new Fog Creek customer. We placed a support request and they were willing to provide the solution based on our use case. – Chris Apr 3 2012 at 18:02

FogBugz is not currently setup to use LDAP/AD authentication for Community users.

I have opened a case to consider this feature for a future release. Please up-vote this question to show your support for adding this feature.

Is this answer still correct for the current version? – James Bayley Mar 14 2011 at 17:26
