On the page that list cases, I choose from the Filters menu the default "My Cases" filter. Then I click on my name in the Filter bar and choose "Anybody". Finally, I click on the "Status" column to make sure it's sorting Ascending. The problem (bug) is that only "Active" cases show up. If I sort by anything else or sort Status descending, all Open cases show up including resolved.

We are using FogBugz Version 7.1.10 (DB 736, Build 1382), hosting on our server. The only plugins we run are Custom Fields, and Filter Export.

If you scroll to the bottom, does it tell you that it's showing the first 50 out of x cases? – Rich Armstrong Feb 25 2010 at 14:11

I just noticed the "Cases matching this filter" table at the bottom of the list. That table as paging and the option to "List All" which, when either are used, shows all Open cases and not just the active.

Here's what the table looks like when the reported filter is selected:

Showing 200 cases of 306 total List All (may be slow)

Cases without estimate 176

Total estimated time remaining 352.32.38 hours

Total elapsed time 820.6 hours

Page 1 of 2 Next

So, there is not an issue as I initially described. We just have too many Active cases open.

This is likely due to having more than one page of results, so you're only seeing the first 50 cases. Click the links at the bottom in the summary box to either see the next page or show all results.

Note that any cases that are resolved and closed will not show up because closed cases are not assigned to anyone. Open cases which are resolved and assigned to you should show up in that filter, however.

Right. Resolved Open cases are not showing up when the list is sorted as described above. When sorted any other way, they show up fine. – Chrystal Feb 27 2010 at 21:08
Sounds like you have more than a page of results. Did you check the summary at the bottom of the list per Rich's comment above? – adambox Mar 1 2010 at 15:57
