The XML API allows me to set all the fields of a new case / edit while BugzScout does not, but I want to use BugzScout's ability to automatically create a new case or append to an existing. Can I do that with the XML API?

Yes, the XML API can submit like BugzScout with the added bonus of setting other fields such as assigned-to and attaching files. See this answer and this answer for more details or the documentation for the XML API. |
