It would be really sweet if FogBugz could be an OpenID relying party.

I hate having so many passwords. I'd rather log in to FogBugz (especially On Demand, where LDAP isn't an answer) using my company's OpenID provider and the same client cert and password I use for most of our other internal stuff.

We've had a reasonable amount of interest in using OpenID to log into FogBugz. Expanding our authentication options didn't have as much bang-for-the-buck as some of the features that made it into FogBugz 7. Really, there was so much our customers wanted that just couldn't be worked around (still is), so we couldn't spend time on things that didn't provide tangible, immediate value to the end user. As FogBugz matures as a product, it's likely that we'll broaden the ways in which we can interact with the outside world. For now, the strategy is to earn business by delivering features.

We too would like to see a single sign-on solution available for FogBugz. We, and a lot of our clients, use Shibboleth to log in to each other's resources. Being able to use those user records to supply FogBugz's authentication system would be less administration for us, and one less password for our users/developers.
