Any plans on implementing sortable columns for tables in the wiki? For example in mediawiki you're able to have columns sorted such as in this page:

Currently manually sorting a table requires a lot of work. At least implementing the ability to drag and drop rows/columns would help tremendously.

Table sort isn't built in to CKEditor yet, but you can add it by including a jQuery plugin that handles table sort quite nicely. You can get all the details here.

There are a number of jQuery plugins that do this quite well...you might be able to use bugmonkey to wrap your table...just give it a certain style and have bugmonkey pick it up

Yes, that might very well be. In fact we already use a few bugmonkey scripts in our installation. However I think this is something that I would expect to be part of the base product. At least one of the two alternatives I mentioned. – Roman Feb 10 2010 at 16:43

The existing tables could be made sortable with something like jQuery, or you could make a plugin that implements a WikiBlock to make sortable tables. (sorry that documentation only includes one simple example. You can take a look at the code for the table of contents plugin in your fogbugz-install-directory\Plugins\examples\WikiBlock\TableOfContents
