You can enter estimates right in the grid view. Just show the "Estimate (current)" column, then click on it for each case. See the documentation for more.

And what about the original estimation? When we enter the cases using the grid view, we can put their names and types but not their original estimations and I think it would be veeery useful. Even more, a little space to enter the first details of the case would be great also as no case-by-case edition would have to be done. Maybe the developers of the "Custom fields" plugin could extend it to allow defining additional fields and/or to select standard fields to be shown at the grid view ... – Ray Feb 8 2010 at 7:22
I think all the things you listed as being useful to show in the grid view can be done easily with plugins. I don't think showing an existing piece of data is likely to show up in custom fields since that's not really what its for, but a) you can add a long text field with custom fields to hold the canonical description of the case and show this in the grid view b) you can create a new plugin to show the info you want: developers.fogbugz.com – adambox Feb 8 2010 at 17:56
From the grid view, can you take it one step further and enter an estimate using a keyboard shortcut? – triniMahn Nov 2 2010 at 16:26
@triniMahn while this question is about editing the case, not working in grid view, it mentions that you could use BugMonkey to add javascript to give you a shortcut. This might work for grid view as well: fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/1060/… – adambox Nov 4 2010 at 14:00
