Is there anything in FogBugz that allows for data about time that individual developers will take off for vacation or being out sick? It really affects the schedule around the holidays.

Yes. On the Admin menu there is an item named Site Working Schedule that allows admins to enter holidays that affect everyone (e.g. national holidays). There is also an item on every user's My Settings menu named Working Schedule where one can enter their own personal time off.

I am using FogBugz - and no where on the "Working Schedule" page can I input time for being sick. I can input vacation time here, but its not the same thing. So how in FogBugz can I indicate sick days? – Paul Jan 30 2010 at 5:38
@Paul: True, it doesn't differentiate between sick days and vacation. However, for the purpose of calculating a schedule (the only reason you need to enter this information in FogBugz), what difference does it make? Time off is time off. – Greg Saven Jan 30 2010 at 17:33
I am a customer and I am saying that we need it. We don't use FogBugz soley for the purpose of calculating a schedule, we also use it to keep track of developers time (which helps us in our government required paperwork which only funds specific activities). We don't want to use FogBugz only for calculating a schedule - we also use it to keep track of our developers time to help our paperwork submissions to the government. We could use another system to keep track of our developers time - however it makes most sense for us to do it with a single system. – Paul Jan 30 2010 at 18:08
Paul, I would recommend adding a schedule item case for "Sick time" and setting your working on to that case when you're out. You can use it to keep track of hours out sick vs scheduled vacations. You can split it up into a case for each month/quarter/etc. – adambox Apr 26 2010 at 18:20
