We are currently using the FogBugz demo and trying it out, if I want to implement it into my organization, do you have training materials that you can provide that will help me train everyone how to use FogBugz?

FogBugz is designed to be very flexible and accomodating to whatever workflow best suits your company -- we hope that everyone's experience will be as great as James McLeod's :-)

That said, there is a fair amount of documentation available where desired:

  • In FogBugz, you can go to Help -> FogBugz Help to view a set of guides to various pieces of FogBugz functionality, as well as a 'FogBugz in Two Minutes' guide. New FogBugz users automatically get a link to parts of this when they log in for the first time. If you're looking for formal documentation, this is the place.
  • There's a book about FogBugz. It was written for FogBugz 6, so some of 7's new features aren't covered, however the basic principles are the same.
  • The Make Better Software training series offers Fog Creek software development philosophy, however this isn't explicitally FogBugz related.

Megan,

We were worried about similar issues when we rolled out FogBugz to a group of around 50 developers and field support engineers, but found that everything went very smoothly; FogBugz seems to have rigorously adopted the "Principal of Least Surprise," so just about everythink works the way one naively expects it to.

You will likely need to write your own document explaining how FogBugz maps to your own workflow, and that should be all you need.

Regards,

James
