Lately I have been working on a number of projects where I am doing quick releases that often only include a single case.

In these situations I always need to go to the project screen, add a new milestone, then come back and enter the case information.

One thing that would really streamline things for me would be the ability to add a new milestone from the case editing screen directly, assuming of course the current user has permissions to do so.

As a side note, you can add a new milestone from the case listing screen. Choose Set Milestone from the context menu when you hover over a case and it will let you do that. – Michael Pryor Jan 21 2010 at 3:39
Oh Cool. Wish you had put that in an answer so I could upvote it. – JohnFx Jan 21 2010 at 13:43
I keep editing the case and then realizing that I don't have a milestone set so then I save and then go back to the show cases and then add the milestone ( although i keep forgetting I can do that so ususally I click on project, milestones and do it the long way). It would be nice to be able to add the milestone on the fly in the case edit. – Jaydel May 17 2011 at 16:21

Would be nice to be able to do this from the case create/edit page. A common problem for us is that it is difficult to "see" how to create milestones, so they fall into disuse. – msemack Feb 19 2010 at 19:06
Can I give this a bump? I ran into the annoyance again today where I was editing a case and wanted to assign it to a new milestone, but had to go back out to the list screen to do it. I'd REALLY like an option in the case-edit milestone dropdown to create a new milestone on the fly. – JohnFx Jan 4 at 15:49

Michael, BUG (sorta)

When you add a new milestone from the case listing screen and then you want to filter by it, the new milestone isn't an option in the combo-box.

I have to refresh the browser. It trips me up constantly.

This should have been a comment to Micheal's answer, but at the time I wasn't logged in and it wouldn't let me add a comment only post an answer. – Mark Howard Oct 4 2010 at 16:01
