Hi there are there any possibilities to copy the structure of a project or create a template with some default data in it? We are doing Scrum projects with Fogbugz but we now create every single project again by hand. It would save time if we could copy an existing structure or define a template like one.

I vote for such feature request. This would also help with the absence of global areas. Copy project function would be very, very helpful – Alexander Gornik Jan 15 2010 at 9:17
Up vote. I would love this feature. It would be especially useful in the case when projects have a large number of areas. It becomes tedious to copy/paste each area individually. – Mike Caron Jan 6 2011 at 14:14
Let me add my vote for this feature. We do a LOT of projects with identical structure. Having Project templates with Milestones already set, along with dependencies, would be a huge timesaver. – Micha Jan 18 2011 at 5:17

There isn't a built-in way to copy a project's structure. This should be pretty straight-forward to do via a Plugin though.

This tool sounds like it will do what you need, I wish I'd found it before writing my own using the API:

Dave Hodder (above) reports that the tool does not work.

Actually, I was reporting hearsay (that'll teach me), it works just fine! – Dave Hodder Apr 20 at 14:52
