Small edits would be much quicker if cases could be edited directly in the Grid View (for the columns shown).
This could be set up as a general user setting.

Update: For a future release, we would very much like to improve the slickness of the grid view, potentially including such goodies as drag-and-drop and greatly expanded in-place editing. In short, we intend to continue to improve usability and editing, particularly around grid view. In the meantime, that plugin interface case is open as well. We have a case open to consider adding a plugin interface for the context menu in grid view. Via a plugin using that interface, you could add any sort of editing you need (Case FC1377104).
