After a period of testing fogbugz, our company has decided to make the leap into subscribing for the on demand service. However, during our trial period, a good number of bogus cases were submitted in conjunction with some 'live' information. Collectively speaking, we had different users using fogbugz for different things.

Now that we are choosing to go official with fogbugz (as well as post-deployment of a release), it makes sense to start fresh.

Is there any way to archive the existing items that will still give us access to viewing them (not necessarily close them out as we still have to review some items)?

What are you looking for when you say you'd like to "archive" the existing items? You mentioned that you still want to be able to view them and that closing them isn't really an option, so removing things from the database isn't really an option.

If you're just looking to put all the existing items into a different "bucket" to help organize things, I would just create an additional project (Admin -> Projects) labelled "Old stuff" or "Stuff from FB trial" and then move all the existing items over.

Please feel free to clarify if I'm missing what you're trying to accomplish though (it's been known to happen from time to time). :)
