Is editing of release notes via XML API possible? Documentation mentions only sReleaseNotes element (without any example of its format), but nothing about editing. I tried to use cmd=edit with sReleaseNote=Hello (and also sRelaseNotes), but nothing happened.

Would you consider adding this feature to the XML API?

Greetings!

I need this too. Is there a way/place to see the status of this case 1285755 you opened? Or rather: Is this going to be released some time soon or do I "have to" manipulate our Fogbugz database directly to set the release notes from within my application? :)

Best regards, Robin

I have added our tracking case number to the question above. When this is implemented, we will update the tag on the question to "status-completed" – adambox May 14 2010 at 17:41

This would be a very helpful feature. We've tied our subversion repository commits to fogbugz so a developer can resolve a case via a special tag in the log message. We have a proposed release note as a required part for a commit, and being able to use the xml-api to populate the release note would streamline our process.

I also need this editing Release Notes API to be implemtned. Thiw will make my migration job easier.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm migrating our current issues from Infra (yes Infra) and I'm storing our release notes in a custom field. When you add the ability to edit release notes via the XML API, I will use the XML API to copy them over to the Release Notes field. So, when might we expect to see this?

I still can't see this feature in v8 of the xml api. Am i missing something or is this still not implemented ?
