As a manager I have to view various projects, statuses, etc. I currently have to create multiple filters and change between them. I would prefer a system like a toolbar across the top with drop downs, even better if those drop downs allowed multi-select or checkboxes to combine criteria. I could then quickly check a project, check various statuses, assignees, etc. Please make the filter system something faster to use on a single screen like some grids have filter controls across the top.

This is a very important performance issue. The gui hangs on the predefined filter and the magical filter strings - if you love them like fogcreek people this is fine - but for a more casual user this is really bad gui - checkbox for open / close - single clicks for changing sorting sequence would make a difference |
