While working in Visual Studio, I like how I can type a case number and then access information from the case right there in the editor.

How come it doesn't work the other way, showing me the source control checkin comments I make in the FogBugz case? Better yet, put the comments into the case's release notes. That way all the changes go in my documentation automatically!

When you check a file into source control with a comment (that includes a case number), all you see in the FogBugz case is a link to the checkin. There is no integration from the checkin back to FogBugz release notes or Visual Studio on purpose.

You need to manage release notes by entering them in the case in FogBugz. The reasoning behind not doing anything automagic with svn checkins contributing to release notes is because the end user doesn't care how many checkins or what files made up the release, they care about the bugs and features in the release.
