I haven't been using FogBugz for long (actually it's been on and off for a couple of years), but now I'm using it to track my work on a daily basis.

I've been adding and resolving/closing cases quite regularly, but I see nothing new in my estimation history.

As I've just resolved a case, I only noticed now that there's an elapsed time field on the case screen. I haven't seen this before, and so, haven't used it.

Is this why I have no estimation history? Because I haven't been updating that?

Most of FogBugz' EBS functionality is powered via the "Working On" menu. You need to tell FogBugz which cases you're working on (or manually enter estimates yourself when editing cases) in order for it to track time for you. This post has an overview of how EBS works.
