Because FogBugz does not allow the user to delete things, I've always found it pretty odd that you use the term "Delete" in numerous places in the user interface.

It seems objectively misleading--if you can't delete a thing, then why would the term "Delete" show up in the user interface? Wouldn't "Deactivate", "Archive", "Hide" or something similar be more descriptive of what is actually going on?

It doesn't seem like you are doing yourselves any favors by using the term "Delete".

Actually, attachments can be deleted. Where do you see Delete? – Michel de Ruiter Jul 16 at 10:23
Delete Project, Delete Wiki, etc., etc. These items cannot be deleted. – Santos L. Halper Jul 18 at 17:29
Right, see also fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/10640/…! – Michel de Ruiter Jul 26 at 7:38
My point is that if they cannot be deleted, why do use the term "Delete"? That term is objectively misleading, is it not? This is the message I get from FB when I try to "Delete" a project: * There are open cases in this project. These cases will not be deleted but you will no longer be able to create new cases in this project. Click here to see a list of the cases currently in this project. Do you want to delete the '1000 Infrastructure' project? * If I cannot delete a project, then why are you using the term Delete? Re-read my original question. – Santos L. Halper Aug 12 at 13:21
See this question fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/2783/… Why would someone have to ask what deleting a project actually does? That seems a little nutty. The reason for the confusion is that people have a general idea of what "Delete" means. But FB does not allow you to delete anything. Therefore, when you use the term "Delete" you are sowing confusion from the start. To summarize, I understand how FB works when it comes to not allowing deletion. I am saying the user interface misleads by indicating you can do something you cannot. – Santos L. Halper Aug 12 at 13:33
