I would love to be to be able to tag items in the plain text mode to be viewable as rich text. For example I would like to be able to create bullet points in the plain text mode as well as quotes and other things like bold and italics. You can't nicely do code formatting in the rich text and I rely heavily on that.
Confluence has really nice tags to do tables, lists, and bold/italics without using HTML. I think they use a form of MarkDown. I'd like to be able to do something like that. It can even be a subset of all the rich text functionality but it sucks that for all my cases with code (which is almost all of them) I can't reasonably create a nicely formatted case.
