I'd like to have a way to manage small tasks and requests coming in. Basically all those little tasks that take an hour or two, but people need "right now."

I'm thinking I can have everything go to the Inbox, wait there to be reviewed (estimated, sent to correct project, etc) and then moved to a "Requests" project. The requests project would have a new milestone set every week on Friday (would be nice if FogBugz could automatically create repeating milestones, but guessing I can write something quick against the API.)

Then as I assign cases and estimates to the weekly milestone, if the expected completion date passes the hard deadline the assigner would receive a warning and push it out to the next week's milestone. Or if it was an emergency issue, move something else.

That way I'd be able to manage my request log as well as my larger projects through FogBugz...

So is there any way to do that now, or should I tag this as a feature request?

Have you looked at FogBugz' Due Date field and the escalation reports that can be generated for overdue cases?

I hadn't, but after reading it the due date field is "looking backwards." I'd like to be able to give a semi-reliable estimate looking forward. Also setting a due date per task would get tedious with any sort of volume, especially if I can't look forward and estimate a reasonable due date. – Mike Redick Mar 21 2012 at 20:33
