The user should be able to add a Parent-case, just like he can add a Sub-case. I'm shocked that this isn't a feature.

Figured it out. User must select multiple cases, then click edit, then assign a Parent Case to the group. This can only be done if multiple cases are selected. I think Create Parent Case is something that should be included on the bottom bar of the main case list, next to Create Sub Case. – unknown (google) Feb 21 2012 at 19:45

You can also add a parent case when you're editing a single case (via the Parent Case) field. This functionality just isn't exposed via the list page. – db Feb 21 2012 at 19:53
