I can't delete the Schedule Item category because it has "special meaning" for Evidence Based Scheduling. But I can't figure out exactly what special use it has that would prevent EBS from functioning without it (or, more precisely, without cases that can be marked as it.)

If I can use EBS successfully without using schedule items, I should be able to delete schedule items so as not to confuse my users.

The filter dropdown only allows me to filter by one project or one assigned user.

What if I want one filter that shows all cases in a given project, assigned to, say, me or assigned to the "Up for Grabs" virtual user?

The drop-downs only allow selection of one Project, Area, Status, etc. How about allowing multiple with a UI something like this?

The Strict Password Policy will enforce the following rules whenever a password is set:

Passwords must be at least 8 characters long

Passwords must contain:

At least 1 uppercase letter

At least 1 lowercase letter

At least 1 number

At least 1 special character (@,#,$,etc.)

We also have mechanisms in place to prevent brute force attacks against FogBugz via password-guessing. After a certain number of incorrect attempts, even a correct guess will not let you in until a period of time has elapsed. You can get the details from the code if you own FogBugz.

We don't pretend that these are enough for everyone ever in the history of the world. Security and authentication are always a moving target and needs are different depending on the data being secured. We find that our current authentication mechanism strikes a workable balance.

If these policies are insufficient for your organization, the next step is to restrict access to the FogBugz web site itself so that a user never even reaches the FogBugz web site/application, without having been authenticated to your satisfaction. Of course, this would require you to host FogBugz on your servers. Fortunately, those users who require stronger security than is built into FogBugz have mostly self-selected into FogBugz for Your Server anyway.

AND sTitle LIKE ('%SpecialUpload%')

Because this is a database operation, it's faster than your other search, which goes to the search index and so hits a completely separate code path.

The priority should be the default priority for your install, which might be set to 7. To explicitly set the priority, you'll have to use the XML API.

You'll want to use an API token that you generate, and then make an API call rather than a BugzScout call. You can still specify all the parameters, like sScoutDescription. But this also opens up other functionality for you, like setting the fScoutStopReporting flag programmatically.

We use this all the time to use FogBugz to monitor RSS feeds. We pick up the last 10 items in the feed and "submit" all of them with fScoutStopReporting set to 1. Thus only one case comes up for each new item in the feed.
