Kenny Evitt 2011-09-19T14:23:11Z 2011-09-19T16:33:10Z
As an avid user of stackoverflow.com and other children in the Stack Exchange family, I'm a little confused why this site seems to work differently (and not even in a consistent way!).

Why can I vote on answers for some questions but not others? Why is there no button to 'ask a question', but there is one to 'submit [a] feature request'? [Am I submitting a feature request now?]
http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/8953/why-submit-feature-requests Why "Submit Feature Requests"? Ken Morse 2011-08-06T13:22:55Z 2011-08-09T15:06:03Z
The "Ask Question" button was recently renamed "Submit Feature Requests". Is it really your intent to suggest that this site now only be used for feature requests, or are you just trying to make sure that people who need an urgent response contact you in some more direct way?

This site has a lot of useful information in addition to feature requests and it would be unfortunate if people (especially new users to the site) didn't post interesting questions because the button made them think it wasn't appropriate.

I suggest you consider going back to calling the button something like "Ask a Question".
http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/4952/how-about-taking-advantage-of-some-of-that-horizontal-screen-resolution How about taking advantage of some of that horizontal screen resolution? Greg Saven 2010-09-28T00:49:17Z 2011-05-11T23:22:12Z
I'm looking at the new site design and am feeling a bit claustrophobic. I've got 1920 pixels of horizontal resolution here and you're only using about 700 of them.

What's up with that?
http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/6036/can-we-stop-the-community-user-spam Can we stop the Community user spam? cdeszaq 2010-11-23T14:53:01Z 2011-05-11T16:22:12Z
After a question on either the FogBugz or Kiln stackexchange sites has no activity for a while, the Community user brings that case back up to the top of the list. I have no problem with this behavior in general, but there are currently at least 15 questions get moved up this way every day en-mass and this is starting to obscure the new questions just being asked.

Part of the problem is that the question askers are not selecting the "correct" answer because on almost all of the questions, there are one or two good answers to the question. However, a number of the questions that keep floating around are feature request "questions", and in for these, it seems a bit strange to mark the "we've opened a feature request, up-vote this question to support it" answer as being correct because the "question" isn't really a question in the first place, so how does one mark a correct answer to a non-question?

Examples of users un-likely to come back to accept an answer:
1. This one
2. This one
3. This one

Examples of open case questions (feature requests and bugs)
1. This one
2. This one
3. This one
4. This one

Case FC1975657

http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/4744/site-feature-request-rep-for-associating-a-licensed-account Site feature request: Rep for associating a licensed account Samuel Neff 2010-09-20T13:20:37Z 2011-03-29T17:50:20Z
Since this site is being used to vote on feature requests, it would be nice if paying customers had a way to vote things up/down without having to build rep.
