We have tried to reset the search index (4 or 5 times in the past week), so this didn't solve the issue.

This is the errormessage:

3/10/2011 11:00 AM (GMT+01:00): Failed to update the search index; resetting the index may fix this (Admin -> Site -> Search -> Reset): -2147024809 - 'x-windows-949' is not a supported encoding name. Parameter name: name Info: Type: Bug ID: 6696

This time, the re-indexing of cases seemed to stop at ~13%, so we excluded the Case from search.

We have followed the instructions in blacklisting cases, but that is not really a solution, it just masks the actual error (and prevents that case from being found). Is there any way to solve the encoding problem?
http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/1837/can-i-throttle-the-rate-of-indexing-for-fogbugz-search Can I throttle the rate of indexing for FogBugz search? Jude Allred 2010-02-08T19:44:31Z 2010-02-24T20:10:30Z
The FogBugz Search Indexer is either being too agressive or too slow. It's bogging down my CPU, or perhaps it's not able to keep up with the rate of cases that I have incoming. Can I throttle it?
http://fogbugz.stackexchange.com/questions/791/maintenance-service-error-fogcreek-search-the-process-cannot-access-the-file maintenance service error: "FogCreek.Search: The process cannot access the file..." adambox 2009-11-20T20:06:17Z 2009-11-20T20:09:06Z
I keep getting this error popping up in the FogBugz admin notifications:

8/7/2009 9:49 PM (GMT-04:00): The Fog Creek Maintenance Service has reported an error.
