After installing FogBugz on a Windows 2003 Server running IIS 6.0, going to the website returns an error.

Error Message:

HTTP Error 404 File Not Found

If you run UrlScan on IIS with the default settings (no changes to UrlScan.ini), the HTTP GETs fail for the swf files in ~/fbsite/flash_graph.

It doesn't say which rule the url violated in the log. I would toy around with my UrlScan.ini until I found the setting that blocks it, but changes to UrlScan.ini require and IIS reset, and this is on a production web server, so I don't have that luxury.

Our Dev team has been looking at the tool, they state that it works with MS IIS, Question, does it "share" IIS nicely or does it take over the whole box like sharepoint services?

Second - if using the smaller DB engines - any info on database growth numbers?

I'm trying to install FogBugz 6 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit machine.

When I try to run the FogBugz installer, I get "FogBugz requires Microsoft Internet Information Services 4.0 or later. The IIS WWW services is not installed or is not configured correctly."

The machine has the Web Server and Application Server roles installed. It is successfully running another ASP.NET website already.

What am I missing?

We have timeouts several times a day. Checked hardware resources, everything is fine.

Config: Pentium D 2.8Ghz, 4Gb RAM, WS 2008 R2 Std, MSSQL 2008 R2 Express, IIS 7.5, Fogbugz 7.3. Fogbugz is the only app that run on this server.

Ping is less than 1ms, CPU load average 6%, 1Gb free RAM, Disk queue length 0.

What else we can check to remove this annoying timeouts?

I have a load balancer or proxy that sits in front of multiple FogBugz web servers. When I perform certain operations in FogBugz (such as creating a new case and saving my site configuration), I am redirected to the wrong web address, perhaps the address of one of the servers being load balanced. I'm setting up a new server. FogBugz requirements page for Windows simple says that it requires IIS (no version number specified). Elsewhere on the page, it points out that on Vista and Windows 2008, that IIS 7 does not get installed by default.

But we'd like to install the latest on our server which is IIS 7.5.

So will there be any problems with IIS 7.5 with FB?

My FogBugz installation is functioning correctly, but images aren't showing up.

If I hit the URL of a specific image (e.g., http://localhost/FogBugz/images/add.png), the browser is just returning the URL string instead of the image. If I type the URL of an image that I know doesn't exist, I get a 404 error as expected.

Note: I'm running FogBugz on a Win7 development machine running IIS 7.5.

How to Host Another ASP.NET MVC Application alongside with FogBugz

I host my fogbugz application on IIS 6.0, Windows Server 2003. And I want to host another ASP.NET application ( more specifically, it's ASP.NET MVC) application on the same machine.

So I open up my IIS Manager, click on the default website, new a virtual directory and point the path to my ASP.NET MVC application, and setup everything.

The name of my ASP.NET MVC application is OhMyMVC. And this is a snapshot of my IIS configuration:

The problem is that when I want to test my site ( by typing in http://localhost/ohmymvc), I will get a "could not load file or assembly 'fogbugz' or one of its dependencies" at the web.config, line 47:

It seems that all of the requests to the Windows Server 2003 are intercepted by fogbugz web.config, any idea on how to solve this issue?

Edit: I tried to set the Application Pool to PBSAppPool and DefaultAppPool, and yet the same problem persists. Restarting the machine didn't help
