Using Fogbugz 8.2.25 on a Linux/OpenSUSE server and noticed the following error:

Is it possible to reverse case activity?

Is it possible to display the case activity in reversed order? So for instance, say you had the following activity:

Miss Piggy opened the task 4 days ago

Assigned to Kermit the Frog by Miss Piggy 3 days ago

Is there a way to generate a report that contains case history text?

I need one big report (an electronic file) containing ALL case text for all cases that match a filter. If a developer made notes when "Resolving" a case, then I need that text to show up in the report.

I have tried: List Cases->More->Export Cases to Excel.

I have tried the "Pretty Print" plugin.

But these seem to export the Title with at most a single comment field, or the last event transition (but no added text).

I'm sure I could write a plugin for this, but I haven't ventured there yet.

Background

One thing that is really, really missing in FB is support for story points. For any ship doing Agile development, story points are a bit of a must.

I can add story points as a custom field, however I really want to be able to graph on this field.

Feature request

FogBugz should allow me to graph any numerical custom field over time, not just "Time Estimated" or "Number of Cases".

"Number of Cases" is particularly useless as cases are rarely equal.

I would also like to be able to graph "time remaining".

How do I find cases that were assigned to a person at some point in the cases life?

I am new to FB and using FBOD. I want to be able to look back over a period (say last week or month) and find any tickets that were at some point assigned to certain users.

Our intention is to create cases and then they will be batted between users until the case is resolved and closed. So for example say from the Project Manager to the Developer and then a QA team member and perhaps back and forth between Dev & QA a couple of times. The Project Manager or QA might be the user that closed the case.

How can I use the filters to find all of the cases that were assigned to to a particular user even if they are now assigned to someone else?

I tried assignedto:user edited:"last month" but this only reflects the current assignee.

Where to keep the user story

Hello,

I would like tips about where to keep the user story of a case. (or in the general case, where to keep the work to do)

This is usually entered in the first edit of the case. However, as time goes by, the story changes and the history is full of discussion and mails sent and received. The history is good to have as a reference, but I would like to have a separate field for the actual case.

It would almost be like release notes for the case.

Also, I would like to be able to export this to share it with a customer.

How do you do this?

Without having to purchase 70+ licenses for the non-IT users that we do work for, how can I allow Correspondents access to the case list and the actual history (all comments etc) which a community user doesn't allow? They do not need to update/change cases just view them.

How can I plot occurrences of a BugzScout bug over time?

We use BugzScout to log exceptions. As a result, we get some cases which have many occurrences over an extended period of time.

I would like to plot those occurrences on a chart.

Each time the exception occurs, FB edits the case. Through the API, is there a way to access/fetch the specific date and time that each occurrence happened...that is, each time the case was edited?

For a given case, if I was able to simply get a list of each edit date and time, then I could easily drop it into Excel to create the chart.

Resetting Case History backfill

I imported cases into my FogBugz database directly via SQL Server. I know this isn't recommended (I should use the API), but I have my reasons and it worked :).

However, I don't have case history for these manually imported cases. Is there a way to tell FogBugz to restart the backfill so these cases are included?

No case history for milestone change

While changing milestones for many cases, from a global milestone to a per-project milestone with the same name and completion date, we noticed that the case history does not reflect the change. It simply shows "edited by [user]". The expected behavior is to at least show a milestone change.
