pasting text from MS-Word includes strange tags

I grabbed a sub-list with sub-sub-lists from MS-word, and pasted it into the editor for a bug descriptions, and it pastes tags like: {cke_protected_7} Further, if I press Ctrl+A to select all, then Delete, it won't delete it all -- it leaves the start of the list elements, and a sub-list element. <-- NOTE this is two different bugs. Further, pasting in again, adds onto the tag count: e.g. {cke_protected_8} ... 9 ... 10. But if I paste the list into a list element that is left over, then it sort of works, but the alignment is off. Also, after having done that, pressing Enter only results in one CR (which is what it is supposed to do!) instead of the normal (buggy) two CRs that result.
