<p>Let's say I'm working on a project, and I'm waiting for a graphic designer to send some screen designs for the next feature. I can't work on anything else.</p> <p>Later on in the project, I'm waiting for testers to send me their feedback. Sometimes I could be waiting for days.</p> <p>Assuming these people are outside of our Fogbugz system, where do I book time when I'm waiting like this? I want EBS to correctly predict that I will spend a certain amount of time waiting. I want to be able to give the customer an accurate release date, taking these kinds of delays into consideration.</p> <p>Is this what scheduled items are for? Should I create a "Waiting" item and estimate that? Or should I just "leave the clock running" on whatever was the last thing I was working on?</p>

<p>If these types of waiting periods are typical for your cases, personally, I'd just leave the clock running as this should get you the desired result and require the least amount of effort on your part. EBS will learn over time to take into account the extra time that it ends up taking you to resolve cases because of these waiting periods.</p>
